R.I.P. Bunny (??-2007)

Last night, I did it.

I killed a bunny.

Mom and Dad were horrified. They took me out for the last potty of the evening, and I was doing some zoomies, and the next thing they knew, a bunny was shooting out from under a tree. And I chased it, into the only area of the yard with no lighting. And they heard the fence rattle, which apparently made them relieved, but then they heard a loud squeal, and they were NOT relieved, and then I did more zoomies with the bunny in my mouth, and I would not let Mom and Dad near me, because bunny was MINE.

Eventually they fooled me with the sound of food in a bowl...and Dad put on some rubber gloves and got two plastic bags and laid the bunny to rest in the garbage. They didn't know what else to do.

Then I hid under the bed:

To top it all off, Mom got really sick and spent the night on the bathroom floor. So she is not at work today. Go figure.
HAPPY MONDAY!

1. I'm sorry your mom is sick, but at least she's home with you. I secretly like it when my parents get sick so they stay home with me.
2. I am really jealous that you can still fit under the bed. I wish my parents would get a taller bed so I could still get under there.
3. You are AWESOME! Way to be a super hunter! I wish a bunny would come in our yard so I could get it.

Hmmm....I wonder if it was Oswald marketing his condominiums. I think you should notify the AO4 to see if they've had any sightings today. Poor Mom. We hope she's not still in the bathroom this afternoon. That's no fun.

I think your mom is sick with envy that you caught the bunny!

Thanks for the questions. I'll be answering them soon!

Way to go Marley!!! My mom totally freaks out if we catch wild life too! I have brought her a couple birds and a baby squirrel and she was very upset with me. I was very proud of my hunting skills and wanted to show her, and here she is saying "Oh Holly, what did you doooooo?" I just don't get it.

I'm quite impressed you still fit under the bed.

Wow Marls... it seems the y ard invasion is going on everywhere. I had an evil squirrel get into mine (see my post from yesterday). You had asked me to interview... I have a few questions. Hope you like them.

Hugs,
Sitka

1. Where is your most favorite place to go with your humans?

2. So, your first birthday should be coming up here in 6 weeks or so, do you have any big plans brewing??

3. Loki and Bones (from Tia) - I love to hid behind a door and pounce Sitka when she least expects it. What has been your best plot to pounce Marley?

4. Tia and I both love to wear red. Is there any color that you prefer over the other?

5. What is your most favorite treat?

Oh we hope your mom gets better. We hope it was not from the bunny incident.

I jumped up and caught a bird whose take off was to slow. I caught him in mid flight and was so pround I ran zoomies with him. Mom hollered and ran after me and got me to drop it. Now I have to be on my long leash when I go outside. Oh well.

Hope your mama feels better soon!
Sometimes we all do things out of instinct that our bipeds don't really appreciate it. It's not like we THINK about it, we just do it out of reflex! Seriously, little pal - just give your mom your best cute pose/sad eyes look and she'll forget all about the bunny. Just like mine will some day forget about all the things we've done. :)
